Insurance
We strongly recommend that you insure your jewellery. We suggest you speak to your home insurance company who may be able to add to your policy or take out separate cover, if desired, for your pieces. Kinvara is able to provide a valuation foryou for £50.

Bespoke pieces: Clean your bespoke jewellery with a sonic cleaner or soft toothbrush with warm (not hot) water and fairy liquid unless advised otherwise by Kinvara. Do not put soft stones e.g. aquamarines, emeralds, tanzanite ortourmalines in sonic cleaners. Do not dip in any chemicals. Please avoid spraying perfume on your piece. Ready-to-wear pieces: We recommend sonic cleaner or soft toothbrush with warm water and fairy liquid unless advised otherwise by Kinvara. Do not putquartzes or topazes in sonic cleaners or expose them to very hot water. Do not dip in any chemicals. Please avoid spraying perfume on your piece.
Aftercare and Repairs
Any small repairs to bespoke pieces will be covered by Kinvara Law within a one year period from the delivery date. After one year, Kinvara Law will only charge cost for repairs. It is not necessary for ready-to-wear pieces to be checked once a year but if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch. For bespoke pieces (assuming you don't hit them with a hammer!) we will cover any problems up to £100 worth of repair within a one year period from the delivery date. After one year, we only charge (at cost) if there is any work to be done. This gives us a chance to check over all the settings and catch any problems before they become an issue. Diamonds are very hard, but jewellery is not invincible. We recommend having your piece given an ‘MOT’ once a year to check the settings and ensure nothing has been damaged during the year. MOTs are £50 and any additional repairs are charged at cost.
Ring resizing
We will resize a ring (three ring sizes maximum) once free of charge within one month of delivery as we understand that finger sizes can be tricky. If another resize needs to take place the charge would be £60. If an engraving is lost during a resize, we will charge at cost for re-engraving.
Remodeling
The best care possible is taken when remodeling and dismantling pieces. There is a risk of damage to stones within your piece during this process, and we will not be liable for any damage to stones in the unlikely event that something happens to them.
